Terms of trading

Our terms of trading vary depending on the project. On smaller contracts it is sometimes done with two payments. We would require a payment upfront, this is to confirm your order and cover our overheads, materials etc. Second payment to be paid on completion of works by cash or cheque.
On bigger sized contracts we would also require an up front payment to confirm your order and cover our overhead materials etc. Then we would work on stage payments or weekly payments this would be discussed before works commence. If the contract is over £20,000.00 we would expect you to hold back a retention fee of 5% of the total job price. This will fall to 2.5% on completion and will be held for the defects liability period of three months. This would be a standard procedure in a JCT contract.
Maintenance charges vary depending on what work is required. But there would be a call out fee with this service and after the first hour we would charge on a ¼ hourly rate. Our rates are to be discussed and agreed before any work takes place. We require payment on completion of any maintenance work. This can be paid by cash or cheque.
All materials supplied by Ronnoco Building are to be charged at cost price plus 20%.
Parking and congestion charges are to charged where necessary
Ronnoco Building services or any sub-contractors working on behalf of Ronnoco Building Services will not be responsible for any items damaged while works take place. If there are any valuable items in the work place. Ronnoco building services should be made aware of this and arrangements should be made as to remove or store in a safe place. This could be carried out by Ronnoco Building Services if agreed.
